Alberta’s Oil Patch Cities
There are many different places in Alberta that have
oil field related jobs; here is a list of the best
cities to live in to find work.
Edmonton
Edmonton has a lot of oil field related jobs and is
a good city to find work in.
Calgary
Most of the big oil companies in Alberta have their
head office in Calgary, if you have a degree of some
sort and want to work for an oil company in a
corporate setting Calgary is the place to go.
Fort McMurray
Fort McMurray is a city of about 70,000 people in
northern Alberta and is home to the world famous Oil
Sands project. There are literally thousands of jobs
to be had in Fort McMurray right now. This is
probably the best city in Alberta to find work in.
Red Deer
Red Deer is a city of about 60,000 located south of
Edmonton. There is lots of oil field related jobs
right now in Red Deer.
Grande Prairie
Grand Prairie is a small city in northern Alberta
that is thriving with oil field work.
Brooks
Brooks is a small city of about 20,000 people in
southern Alberta, right in the heart of the Canadian
Badlands. Brooks is literally an “oil patch town”
